Papers In His Memory
Professor Gordon R. Williams B.Sc(Hons), M.Sc, Ph.D., former Editor and President, and Life-member of the New Zealand Ecological Society died in June 1983. To commemorate his services to the Society and his contribution to the study of ecology in New Zealand, the first six papers in this volume are dedicated to his memory. These papers, two of which Gordon was contributing to at the time of his death, cover most of the range of topics he researched during his scientific career, and are written by colleagues with whom he was associated or directed.
